Job Description
The Business Development & Retention Executive will be primarily responsible for reversing client churn, driving subscription renewals, and rebuilding trust within our local community. The immediate mandate is to recapture and retain our pool of inactive access package clients while also improving our access package clients to meet a combined target of 2,500 active registrations annually. The ideal candidate must possess deep local networks within the VGC/Lekki axis, a strong background in customer success or subscription retention, and a proven ability to convert dormant accounts into active, paying clinic users.
Responsibilities:
Subscription Retention & Client Win-Back
· Execute Churn Recovery: Design and deploy aggressive win-back campaigns specifically targeting the access package clients.
· Drive Package Renewals: Own the end-to-end renewal cycle for existing access clients, ensuring a minimum 80% contract renewal rate.
· Conduct Feedback Audits: Interview lapsed clients to identify gaps in service delivery or value perception and report findings to management.
· Onboard New Signups: Manage a structured onboarding process for new access clients to ensure immediate utilization and long-term stickiness.
Community Engagement & Local Partnerships
· Leverage Local Estates: Partner directly with the VGC Resident Association (VGCPRA) and surrounding estate management boards to embed the clinic as the preferred neighborhood provider.
· Organize Targeted Outreaches: Host high-value, localized health talks, wellness checkups, and awareness campaigns within VGC schools, religious bodies, and estate recreational centers.
Data Tracking & Lead Management
· Pipeline Management: Maintain a daily updated tracker of active, lapsed, and prospective clients, ensuring zero leaks in the retention funnel.
· Retention Reporting: Deliver weekly data-driven reports on renewal rates, successful win-backs, customer friction points, and competitor loyalty strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, account management, or customer success—ideally within premium healthcare, insurance, or subscription-based industries.
· Territory Knowledge: Proven track record of working successfully within the VGC/Ibeju-Lekki corridor.
· Network: Existing, active relationship network with VGC resident associations, premium estate managers, schools, and corporate groups.
Required Competencies
· Customer Retention & Account Recovery: Mastery of customer win-back strategies and loyalty management.
· Data-Driven Problem Solving: Ability to read utilization data to predict and prevent client churn.
· Relationship Management: Highly empathetic communication style capable of de-escalating client complaints and rebuilding institutional trust.
· Local Cultural Competence: Deep understanding of the premium service expectations of VGC/Lekki residents.
